REVIEWS

quote Newly opened Malaysian restaurant that’s been drawing crowds and constantly busy. First off, the food. It’s not the kind of meal that will blow your mind, but it’s comforting and decent. The real star here is the price. There’s a range of dishes for $10, it’s an incredible bargain! While the flavors might not be groundbreaking, the value for money is undeniable. I’ll keep coming back as long as the prices stay low. But, if they eventually revert to the $15-$20 range, I might reconsider. For now, though, it’s a budget-friendly gem worth checking out.

quote A very southeast Asian feel to this place., as its name suggests No frills. The food is tasty and the price is relatively low. Lots of Malaysian Chinese dishes to choose from. Considering this place just started on Christmas day 2024, the business is doing very well. I tried the hokkien fried prawns noodles and it was tasty and flavoursome, priced at $15.50. and quite a large portion too. Will be back to try their other dishes.

quote Good Malaysian meals at very affordable prices, can't complain much with that price. White Curry Mee is good. They have inside and outside seating. There is a long line during peak lunch hour.

quote With rising costs of living, $10 to enjoy many Malaysian favourites are definitely helpful for the household budget. Nasi Lemak - the rice was well cooked and really fragrant and tasty. Pork Noodle Dry - The noodles were lovely with a slight hint of lard and not too oily. The pork slices and minced balls were tender. Sarawak Kolo Mee - had a nice flavour and we enjoyed it. The 5 stars were given considering the price, portion and taste. Though not the best I’ve eaten but I walked out very satisfied.

quote We decided to give Jalan Alor Mitcham a try shortly after they opened, and we’re glad we did! It was a busy Sunday lunch, but despite the crowd, the service was friendly, and we managed to get a table after a short wait. We ordered the Pork Noodle (Dry), Kolo Mee, and Sweet Sauce Chee Cheong Fun. The Chee Cheong Fun was delicious, and we really enjoyed the dry noodles, pork, and soup. The Kolo Mee, however, was slightly undercooked, and the portion size was noticeably smaller compared to the other dishes. Interestingly, we noticed some variation in portion sizes for the Kolo Mee at other tables as well. That said, you can’t beat the value – $10 per dish is fantastic these days! We’ll definitely be back to try more of their menu, as there’s so much to explore. A great addition to the area!
